The gloved hands of an operator place a cartridge of explosive into a blasthole, on light-coloured rock.

Our Products

Explosives and initiation systems.

The ranges of EPC Groupe and Davey Bickford, distributed in Senegal from our magazines at Ngoundiane.

Our ranges

Explosives

The right explosive depends on the hole, not on the catalogue.

Bulk or cartridged, dry or wet, soft rock or hard rock: the choice is made with you, on the basis of your deposit and your blast design.

Bulk explosives

2 products
  • An operator in high-visibility orange clothing draws product from a large white bulk bag on a loading area.

    ANFO

Bulk explosive for charging blastholes in dry deposits. Delivered in bags or manufactured directly on site by our three mobile manufacturing units.

    • Quarries
    • Open-pit mines
    • Dry blastholes
  • Storage area under a shed: large white bulk bags of product lined up on pallets, a red forklift and a technical building.

    Bulk emulsion

Emulsified ammonium nitrate solutions incorporating a fuel phase. They take over from ANFO wherever it cannot be used, in particular in the presence of water.

    • Wet blastholes
    • Hard rock
    • Mechanised charging

Cartridged explosives

2 products
  • A cartridge of cartridged emulsion resting on light-coloured crushed rock, at the mouth of a blasthole.

    EXPLUS TSR

    EXPLUS TSR · EPC

Cartridged explosive emulsion produced by EPC. The range of formulations and sensitising methods makes it adaptable to every type of site and application.

    • Quarries
    • Civil engineering
    • Tunnelling and shaft sinking
    • Water-saturated ground
  • NITRAM 5 and NITRAM 9

    NITRAM 5 et 9 · EPC

Cartridged explosive emulsions produced by EPC. The range of formulations and sensitising methods makes them adaptable to every type of site and application.

    • Tunnelling and shaft sinking

Boosters

1 product
  • A yellow cylindrical booster, labelled and sealed, shown upright on a white background.

    EPCBOOST T

    EPCBOOST T · EPC

Boosters are very powerful initiation reinforcers, ideal for initiating ANFO-type products or bulk emulsion. Their fully sealed shape prevents any contact between the explosive and the operator. The housings provided for detonators remove the need to pierce the cartridge, always a delicate step for the shotfirer’s safety. It is recommended as a replacement for dynamite.

    • Bulk initiation
    • Large-diameter drilling
    • Demanding conditions

Electronic initiation

1 product
  • An electronic initiation system: a blasting machine in its transport case, two programming units and their accessories, on a white background.

    DAVEYTRONIC® OPW electronic detonators

    DAVEYTRONIC OPW · Davey Bickford

From the fourth generation of the Davey Bickford electronic blasting system, DAVEYTRONIC® OPW offers precision, simplicity and flexibility at the right cost. It is particularly suited to quarries, construction sites and small open-pit mines. The system allows the timing to be matched to the blasts to be carried out, minimising nuisance and optimising the result. Before firing, the blasting machine performs a full check of the initiation system.

    • Quarries
    • Open-pit mines
    • Complex blasts
    • Ground vibration control

Electric initiation

1 product
  • Four electric detonators coiled side by side, with leg wires of different colours — green, yellow, white and red — on a white background.

    DAVEYDET® electric detonators

    DAVEYDET · Davey Bickford

EPC MINEEX supplies DAVEYDET® electric detonators in various lengths, electrical sensitivities and delays. These detonators are used in many countries, where they are recognised for their reliability. Their continuous production and quality control place them among the best performing in the world.

Non-electric initiation

2 products
  • A non-electric initiation assembly: a coiled orange tube ending in red surface connectors, on a white background.

    DAVEYQUICK®

    DAVEYQUICK · Davey Bickford

Non-electric initiation system, used wherever electric blasting is not suitable.

    • Multi-row blasts
    • Environments sensitive to stray currents
  • DAVEYNEL®

    DAVEYNEL · Davey Bickford

Non-electric initiation system, used wherever electric blasting is not suitable.

    • Multi-row blasts
    • Environments sensitive to stray currents

Detonating cord

1 product
  • A reel of green detonating cord, wound on its spool, on a white background.

    DAVEYCORD detonating cord

    DAVEYCORD · Davey Bickford

DAVEYCORD is a detonating cord made of a PETN core held in a textile sheath, wrapped in a plastic casing that protects it from moisture.

    • Charge initiation
    • Blast hook-up

Supply conditions

An explosive is not ordered like a consumable.

These products are subject to authorisation. Before any first delivery, we prepare the file with you: that is also what avoids hold-ups once work has started.

Prior authorisations

Supply is reserved for operators holding the administrative authorisations required to acquire and hold explosive products.

Delivery to a declared magazine

Deliveries are made to a declared, compliant magazine, or directly to the blast as part of a complete drilling and blasting service.

Certified personnel

Use is a matter for a shotfirer. We can provide the complete service if you do not hold that certification in house.

Traceability of movements

Every unit is tracked from reception at the magazine through to use, surplus explosives included.

A first order?

Let us open your customer file before work starts.

Supplying explosives requires authorisations. Better to prepare the file in advance than to discover a hold-up the day before the blast.
